Director, IT Infrastructure - (Baton Rouge) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana For Sale

The Director, Technology & Infrastructure is responsible for infrastructure technology and architecture governance globally across Albemarle. This individual ideally will come from an enterprise architecture background, possess a sound understanding of security, storage, virtualization, disaster recovery and business continuity, network, voice/VoIP, server, IaaS/PaaS, and a range of computing technologies including VDI, and have significant experience with SAP ECC6.0, mobile and web applications. This is a role for a thought-leader who will design, evangelize and deliver the transformation of Albemarle's foundational infrastructure and operations platforms and drive acquisition integration at an effective Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Hands-on work with highperformance computing and supporting real time analytics or big data efforts, specifically in the plant floor or supply chain context, would be a significant plus. The Director, Technology & Infrastructure will drive the roadmap to streamline, standardize and strengthen security, business continuity and disaster recovery across sites while achieving substantive improvement in performance, reliability, robustness and scalability across the computing fabric. He or she will also determine optimal operating models such as data center primary/secondary constructs or colocation, and managed services approaches for infrastructure, security, continuity, cloud platforms, and collaboration. The candidate must have the gravitas and influencing skills to present to executive management, partner effectively with senior managers from other functions and colleagues across IT, and facilitate effective collaboration among multiple interest groups.Able to deliver cost-effective infrastructure solutions that maintain the integrity of the IT ecosystem at an optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Able to work as a thought leader with IT BRMs, BPAs, PMO and project teams to ensure projects fit with enterprise infrastructure architecture standards Strategic infrastructure roadmap development, capital budgeting and project management. Ensure solution compliance with information security policies and standards. Track industry trends, stay abreast of technology evolution and connected with thought leaders and best practices on infrastructure transformation and advancements in the field.
