Position Description:
The candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing the IT assets of the organization and for providing technical support for Outreach Events held in targeted locations across the state including New Orleans. The ideal candidate will be customer service focused, have good organizational skills, proficient in desktop support and office productivity applications such as Excel and familiar with a variety of IT assets.
IT equipment must be carefully tracked using an existing inventory tracking system called WASP. Formal audits are held annually with the results reported back and reconciled with the state asset management system. The candidate helps distribute, recover, and track all IT assets including PC s (desktops, laptops, tablets), Blackberries, Printers, Routers, Switches, etc. in multiple facilities.
The candidate also provides technical support for Outreach Events held monthly in locations around the state. This involves setting up laptops, printers, and establishing network connectivity for program personnel for 1-3 day activities. The equipment is packed and returned to our primary work location afterwards.
