Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000/yr. base salary
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required; 10+ years of experience out of any PSM-regulated plant which would include: chemicals, refining, LNG, ethylene, petrochemicals, industrial chemicals (chlorine, etc), and fertilizer. Candidates should have a strong track record in successful plant turnarounds and candidates should have extensive experience in maintenance/reliability. Candidates should have experience with both predictive and preventive maintenance programs and techniques. Pluses would be experience with reactors, distillation columns, utilities, etc.
Job Description:
This person will work on-site at a large petrochemical manufacturing complex located near Baton Rouge, LA. Within this site, there are 5 chemical manufacturing plants. This person will work director for the maintenance superintendent who reports directly to the Site Manager. These 5 production units use distillation, reaction, compression, separation, and a wide variety of utilities. The entire complex is PSM-regulated and each of the 5 units has been built within the last 20 years. This person will oversee all of the turnarounds for each of the 5 units, each of which has a once-yearly turnaround schedule. At present, this company is using an outside contractor to plan and execute turnarounds and it is a function the company would like to bring in-house. This is a very large, multi-national chemical and petrochemical manufacturer with other facilities in the U.S. and around the World. Relocation assistance is available and this is a bonus-eligible position.
