Job SummaryJob DescriptionThe Manager of Infection Control coordinates the overall operation of the hospital’s Infection Control and Employee Health programs by utilizing standardized epidemiologic methods and techniques to identify and analyze trends of nosocomial infections. He/she also initiates appropriate steps to reduce and br eliminate infections in patients, visitors and staff.Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree required, masters preferred. 2. Current license as a Registered Nurse by the LA State Board of Nursing. 3. Current certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred. 4. Experience in implementing programs, adult education, surveillance methodology, microbiology and priniciples of epidemiology preferred. 5. Three to five years acute care hospital experience required and at least 2 years experience as a Nurse Epidemiologist preferred. 6.
